A good walk is about more than getting outside. It’s an opportunity to explore, practice familiar skills, build confidence, and enjoy some individual attention. And when your dog gets home, there are still a few things to take care of.

At Stratham Strolls, we’ve packaged all of that into one complete visit. With 15 years of professional pet care experience, we know that dogs have their own personalities, preferences, and occasional opinions about how the day should go.

That’s why our private visits are untimed. We focus on providing everything included in your dog’s care rather than squeezing it all into a predetermined number of minutes.

What’s Included in Every Visit?

1. An Arrival Notification

You’ll receive a notification when we arrive, so you know your dog’s visit is underway.

2. A Proper Hello

Some dogs are waiting at the door, ready to head out. Others appreciate a little time and space to get comfortable. We respect those differences, pay attention to body language, and let your dog settle into the visit without unnecessary pressure.

3. A Private, Enriching Walk

Your dog enjoys an individual outing tailored to their abilities, preferences, and comfort level.

We encourage sniffing, exploring, and engaging with the environment rather than focusing solely on covering distance. After all, there’s quite a bit happening in the world from a dog’s perspective, and we like to give them an opportunity to investigate.

4. Confidence & Everyday Skills

We use everyday walks as opportunities to work on confidence, environmental desensitization, and familiar skills.

If we notice something that makes your dog uncertain, we pay attention. Rather than forcing an interaction or rushing through the situation, we create space, encourage calm observation, and help your dog navigate the experience at a comfortable pace.

We also reinforce established leash manners, familiar cues, and handling routines throughout the visit. It’s a natural part of how we work with dogs, not an additional training service.

5. The Little Household Essentials

The walk is only part of the visit. We also take care of the everyday details that help keep things running smoothly at home.

Every visit includes, as needed:

• Fresh drinking water and bowl checks

• Meals and treats according to your instructions

• Prearranged medications

• Muddy paw cleanup

• Tick check

• Minor pet related accident cleanup

• A check of your dog’s resting area and immediate surroundings

6. A Comfortable Goodbye

Before heading out, we make sure your dog is comfortable, safely settled, and back in their designated area.

Whether they’re returning to their crate, relaxing in their favorite spot, or joining their housemates, we follow your established routine. We also check doors and gates and make sure your home is properly secured.

7. A Visit Report

You’ll receive an update about how everything went, including relevant observations about your dog’s activities, behavior, and comfort.

We want you to have a good picture of your dog’s day, even when you can’t be there yourself.

Private Walk Membership

Consistent Care. Familiar Faces. One Predictable Price.

Our private walks are offered through recurring memberships, making it easy to keep your dog’s routine consistent without having to arrange individual visits each week.

$35 per visit

Two visits per week minimum

Memberships start at $280 per month.

Your membership includes:

• Two or more recurring private visits each week (rotating schedules are required to be scheduled by Sundays by 5 PM).

• Everything outlined in our complete visit package

• Care for up to two dogs from the same household

• Familiar, experienced caregivers

• Untimed visits with no per-minute charges

• Arrival notifications and detailed visit reports

• A reserved place within our established weekly routes

• Predictable monthly billing

Additional weekly walks can be added to your membership. Households with more than two dogs are welcome, with an additional dog fee.

Visits are arranged within our established daily routes and windows rather than guaranteed visit slots.

Why Untimed?

Because dogs don’t operate on a stopwatch, and neither do we.

Some days everyone is ready to go, the weather cooperates, and the visit is wonderfully straightforward. Other days, someone needs a little encouragement, a passing dog requires some extra space, or muddy paws turn the return home into a small production.

We don’t believe those everyday moments should mean rushing through care or adding another charge to your bill.

Our visits are priced around what’s included, not how many minutes it takes to complete it.

Untimed doesn’t mean unlimited. It means we’re responsible for completing the care we’ve agreed to provide, using our experience and professional judgment rather than an arbitrary timer.
